This is the time of year when many people make resolutions, or promises to themselves of things they are going to change in order to improve their quality of life. Did you know that a high majority of people fail on their resolutions before the end of January? I suppose there are a variety of reasons for this, but most likely is the fact that “old habits die hard.”This year at Sure Foundation, we have made a New Year’s Resolution…together, we are going to read the Bible. Each person will take a few minutes each day to read the same portion of God’s word. And, in three years from now, we will have read the entire Bible!

What’s the point? Well, the Bible is where the Lord unravels the mystery of his very being and unveils the blessings of his grace. If you are looking for love in your life…you will find perfect, selfless love in Jesus. If you are looking for power…there is none more powerful than the God of the Bible. If you are looking for wealth…there is nothing more valuable than God’s promises of faith, forgiveness, and eternal life!

Yes, old habits die hard. We understand that this may be a difficult resolution for some to keep. However, consider making daily meditation on God’s word one of your daily habits, and see how God can truly change your life.
